SUPPORTING THE UN GLOBAL COMPACT
In financial year (FY) 2025/26, we signed up to the UN Global Compact (UN GC), reaffirming our commitment to sustainable business practices.
The UN GC is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative dedicated to responsible business development, implementation, and transparency.
Launched in 2000, the UN GC encourages companies worldwide to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of the UN aims and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Womble Bond Dickinson’s participation in the UN GC reinforces our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices, enhancing transparency and accountability for clients, communities, and stakeholders. It also enables the firm to collaborate with a global network of organisations, fostering innovation and collective action to address pressing global challenges such as climate change, inequality, and human rights.
As a signatory, we are committed to integrating the UN GC's ten principles into our strategy, policies, and culture. We will take proactive steps to support initiatives that advance the UN SDGs and will demonstrate progress through an annual Communication on Progress report.

This commitment highlights our unwavering dedication to responsible business practices and the advancement of sustainable development worldwide. By joining the UN Global Compact, we recognise the vital role businesses play in building a fairer, more sustainable future. Aligning with the UN GC enables us to embed internationally recognised principles into every aspect of our operations and contribute meaningfully to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
