The Womble Bond Dickinson Foundation
FY 2024/25 was a transformative year for the Womble Bond Dickinson Foundation, marked by dynamic changes that will amplify our impact on the communities we serve.
First, our Trustees decided to expand the Trustee Board, welcoming four new members who will bring fresh perspectives and diverse experiences. This strategic move aims to better reflect the diverse communities we are dedicated to supporting. The new Trustees come from offices where we previously lacked representation, and bring with them a wide range of experiences and expertise. Their insights will be invaluable as we continue to evolve and grow.
Secondly, we proudly launched our first formal grant funding scheme, targeting six key focus areas that resonate with our strategy. The response was overwhelming, with 260 applications showcasing a range of innovative projects and initiatives. The Trustees were thrilled by the range and quality of the submissions and narrowing down the successful grantees was a challenging task.
The six themes for the first round of grant giving were:
- Climate action and environmental protection.
- LGBTQ+ inclusion.
- Supporting inclusion of individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds.
- Increasing women's opportunities in life and work.
- Disability and neurodiversity inclusion.
- Mental health and wellbeing support.
As we gear up for further rounds of grant applications, we are excited to learn about more groundbreaking projects that will make a tangible difference in our communities. For more details, please visit our website: Womble Bond Dickinson Foundation | Womble Bond Dickinson
Andrew Harding, Partner and Trustee of the Womble Bond Dickinson Foundation, shared his thoughts: "The Womble Bond Dickinson Foundation is committed to giving back to our local communities. Having a strong tangible impact in the areas in which we live and work is really important to me, and I'm proud of the projects we are supporting."
