Our commitment to creating sustainable offices
In FY 2024/25 we took steps to enhance the working environment of our London office for the benefit of our 120 colleagues working there whilst at the same time demonstrating our commitment to sustainability through a focus on energy efficiencies and space consolidation.
Through installing state-of-the-art mechanical and lighting systems this move allowed us to transition to 100% LED lighting. We also invested in new energy efficient hardware such as monitors and MS Teams meeting room screens. Alongside energy efficiency, we were also able to reduce our London office space footprint by 29.71%.
In addition, furniture such as meeting room chairs, desks, and cabinets, and IT equipment such as monitors, which were no longer required as part of the move were refurbished and used in other offices across the firm's UK network or donated to be re-used where possible.
Our new office has been recognised for sustainability, with Team London Bridge – an organisation working to increase innovation and sustainability along the specific section of the River Thames – recognising the firm for its investment in the London office helping to reduce its operational emissions through, amongst other aspects and benefits of the project, efficient use of space, transition to 100% LED lighting and upgraded IT/AV in its most recent 'A Great Place to Work' Awards.
I am proud to work in a team and an organisation where we can integrate environmental sustainability into our projects, so it is part of the design, and not an afterthought.
